3 Days from Marrakesh to Merzouga Desert

Day 01 : Marrakesh to Dades via Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, Rose valley

At 8 am we will meet you at your accommodations reception then depart to Dades via the high atlas mountains, crossing Tichka Pass, a road which goes in the middle of the High atlas and which stands in 2260m above sea level, we will stop to visit an argan oil women co-operative to see how people in the atlas prepare the Argan oil and have a cup of coffee, then continue our way to join Kasbah Telouat, a former house of the famous warlord EL Pasha Lglaoui, then we continue via the salt way to join the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, we will visit the Kasbah then have lunch in a local restaurant. After that we continue to Dades crossing the city of Ouarzazate or Hollywood of Africa, a city famous for being the shooting site for famous movies “ Gladiator” “ The Mummy”.. then we pass by Skour palm grove, and Rose Valley in which we will stop for a woman co-operative for rose distillation, then we continue our road via Kalaa Magouna “ The Rose Capital” arrive to Dades.

Day 02 : Dades to Merzouga via Todra Gorge, Erfoud.

after breakfast depart to Merzouga via Todra Gorge, a very wonderful canyon with its high standing rocks 300m high, then we continue via the town of Tinjdad. Lunch in the road. Passing through the town of Erfoud very famous for its dates international festival and also for being a fossils town. Upon your arrival to Merzouga you will put your luggage in a Hotel, and take only the necessary ones, then you will camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will attend the sunset in your way to the bivouac. Overnight at a nomad tented camp.

Day 03 : Merzouga to Marrakesh via Nkob, Daraa Valley, Tichka Pass.

In order to assist one of the most beautiful sunrises, you will have to wake up early. After breakfast depart to the red city of Marrakesh via the historical town of Rissani, the cradle of the Alaousit dynasty, and have walk in its old and ancient souk. We continue our way toward to the town of Nkob the first village in the road at the bank of the Daraa Valley the longest valley in Morocco with its 7 million palm trees. After lunch we will hit the road via Ait Sawn pass to join the Tichka Pass and arrive to Marrakesh in late afternoon. Drop off at your accommodation.
